Catch up on our year so far!
From a change in government to a nail-biting Euro’s football final, there’s been plenty going on this summer but before we look ahead to what the rest of 2024 has in store, let’s recap on what’s been happening here at CCF.
Our own brand options
Over the last few months we have been refining our own brand offering and you may have been hearing more about our Tradeline drywall solutions and our Sektor suspended ceiling products as a result. We want to give our customers plenty of choice to help meet their specific budget and project requirements and these two CCF brands are an important part of our extensive product range. You can find out more about Sektor and Tradeline here.
Meet Martyn
The football may not have come home this summer but we are thrilled to welcome Martyn Rolfe back to CCF! Martyn has joined our technical department as our new technical services manager but many of you may remember him from when he previously worked as part of CCF’s insulation team. Martyn brings with him nearly 30 years’ experience and extensive technical knowledge of a wide range of interior building products, specialising in insulation, fire protection, ceilings and drywall. Together with the wider team, this new appointment is helping us to continue to provide technical expertise you can rely on and we are delighted to have Martyn back on board.
Safety first!
We’re committed to delivering first class service to all our customers but this can only be done by supporting our biggest asset – our people. We are consistently working towards our goal of ‘everyone going home safe and well, every single day’, and as part of this, each of our regions have dedicated safety groups that regularly meet. Our Stay Safe Groups help us identify, and solve, any potential issues and also educate and empower our team members so they have the knowledge they need to keep themselves, and others, safe. Each branch is regularly assessed and we are extremely proud that a number of our branches, including all five of our branches in Scotland, achieved the maximum possible scores in a recent audit.
We are also pleased to confirm that CCF has maintained its Gold Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) accreditation which demonstrates that our delivery fleet is operating to the highest standards. As well as keeping our drivers and the public safe through ongoing training, achieving FORS Gold also shows that we are taking all necessary steps to reduce the environmental impact of our delivery fleet.
Keeping sustainability in the loop
With sustainability always at the top of the construction industry’s agenda, we have recently got involved with The Pallet LOOP - a circular economy pallet supplier which is working with leading manufacturers to reduce reliance on using traditional timber pallets to transport and distribute building products. Already the distinctive green reusable pallets have been spotted up and down our UK branch network thanks to our supply chain partner British Gypsum, which is the first building materials manufacturer in the UK to team up with The Pallet LOOP. You can read more about the scheme here.
Here to support you
With the news that the new government is planning to give the housebuilding sector a much needed boost, we are ready to support our customers with all the products and technical guidance they need to be able to turn around their projects quickly and efficiently. Our extensive product range includes everything from suspended ceilings and drywall to façade materials, fire protection solutions and a wide choice of insulation, all backed up with in-house technical support and guidance to help with compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations and the soon to be introduced Future Homes Standard.
