Making Sektor work for you - Your guide to our own brand ceiling range
Following the recent relaunch of Sektor, our own brand ceiling range has been going from strength to strength by providing our customers with a competitively priced suspended ceiling solution. In our latest blog we break down exactly what Sektor has to offer.
More about mineral tiles
Sektor is CCF’s own brand of mineral tiles which are manufactured here in the UK. Mineral ceiling tiles are suitable for use on a variety of contracts, most commonly in the commercial office sector, as well as in education and healthcare buildings. As mineral ceiling tiles are competitively priced, they are generally the ‘go to’ option where budgets are limited but being cost-effective doesn’t mean you miss out on other performance qualities.

Our Sektor mineral ceiling tiles offer resistance to humidity which can help inhibit mould and mildew growth and also prevent sagging over time. This durability, coupled with the easy to clean nature of mineral ceiling tiles, makes Sektor a sound choice for your next suspended ceiling project – and our team is always on hand to help guide you through the specification and installation process.
Plain or perforated?
Our Sektor Sahara mineral ceiling tiles are available with a plain or perforated finish. But how do you know which finish you need?
Plain ceiling tiles have a smooth appearance which can help create cleaner lines and an elegant design.
Perforated ceiling tiles, as the name suggests, have a slightly granulated texture and a finish which contains small perforations. These ‘holes’ can help enhance the acoustics of a room by creating a larger surface area on the face of the tile to absorb sounds and reduce echoes. This quality is one of the reasons mineral ceiling tiles are widely used across both the education and healthcare sectors.
Both our Sektor Sahara plain and perforated tiles are also available with either square or tegular edge and both have their individual design benefits. Square edge tiles sit flush on the suspended ceiling grid and are quick to install, whereas a tile with a tegular edge, also known as a rebated or bevelled edge, sits just below the grid level. So whatever design you are going for, Sektor has you covered.
Our grid products
Our plain and perforated Sektor Sahara mineral ceiling tiles have been designed to work with our Sektor T24 click ceiling grid system which comprises the Sektor Click 24 grid main runner and cross tees with a choice of a 1200mm or 600mm lengths. As suspended ceilings are often used to hide unsightly pipework and service installations, our Sektor grid system is demountable and our tiles can be removed for access, or replaced if needed.
To support our customers in using Sektor, we can also offer an independent 10 year warranty on all tile and grid products.
