CCF lends a hand to the refurbishment of Palm Court
We are proud to have played a central part in the recent transformation of Palm Court, a high-profile office refurbishment project in Richmond, Surrey.
The £4.2 million redevelopment, undertaken by LIFE Build with GA Interiors Ltd as the specialist subcontractor, was commissioned by Orchard Street Investment Management LLP and forms part of the wider regeneration of the Richmond Riverside area. The scope of works included the refurbishment and reconfiguration of the original building to create modern Grade A office accommodation designed with functionality and architectural appeal in mind. This includes the creation of new offices, meeting rooms, kitchens, showers, cycle locker rooms, and an upgraded lower ground entrance.
CCF Key Account Director Angelo Bisceglia worked closely with GA Interiors to understand the project’s specific requirements and liaise with our branch team at CCF Harmondsworth to ensure the smooth delivery of materials to site.
For the drywall elements of the order, we supplied standard multi-use systems with British Gypsum Gyproc plasterboard and specialist products including Glasroc F FireCase board to offer increased fire protection in key areas.
To fulfil the ceiling requirements, CCF Harmondsworth also provided SAS 300 ceiling tiles for use in a bespoke metal frame suspended ceiling system. The design of the ceiling systems was customised by GA Interiors to ensure compatibility with lighting and HVAC systems.
The insulation package comprised products to meet both the necessary thermal and acoustic requirements including Isover acoustic partition roll (APR). Additionally, Glasroc F Multiboard plasterboards were utilised for areas with specific performance requirements. Together, these materials allowed GA Interiors to meet the more demanding project specifications while achieving a consistent and polished finish.
Collaboration between GA Interiors and CCF proved essential to overcoming several challenges during the refurbishment, including the complexities of incorporating the new build elements within the current building structure. This saw CCF’s technical team and GA Interiors working together to identify specific finishing techniques and materials that would blend seamlessly to avoid inconsistencies between existing and new surfaces. CCF Harmondsworth also provided support throughout, helping to find a workable solution to the need to adjust partition layouts to enhance workspace flow and accommodate structural constraints.
The team at CCF Harmondsworth also helped ensure that all orders were delivered in full and in time.
